Ron Follmer, age 84, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026. Ronald Anton Follmer was born on November 13, 1941 in Des Moines, Iowa to Anton and Rena (Harris) Follmer.

Ron attended Cincinnati Bible Seminary and graduated in May 1964 with a preaching degree. He married his high school sweetheart, Linda Roberts, on June 6, 1964. They had preaching ministries in Willisburg, KY; Richmond, VA; Sioux City, IA; Crestwood, MO; and De Soto, MO.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Linda Follmer; his three sons, David Follmer, Pevely, MO; Andrew “Drew” (Diana) Follmer of Baxter Springs, KS; and Charles “CJ” (Jennifer) Follmer of Crestwood, MO, six grandchildren: Jenette Follmer, Rachel (Tim) Tibbles, Seth Follmer, Kaitlyn (Elliot) Imhoff, Karlie (Aaron) Chiodini, and Micah Follmer; four great grandchildren: Titus, Eleanor, Atticus and Shiloh. Ron is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Wayne (Janice, survives) Follmer.

Ron and Linda lovingly served their churches and communities for 58 years. Their ministry was characterized by steadfast love and generosity, and Ron’s heart for the Gospel could be seen in every project he undertook. They were the grandparents that traveled to every event and embraced every opportunity to be with their family. Ron was a devoted husband who gave his all in caring for his wife, Linda.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 AM on Friday, May 22, 2026 at De Soto Christian Church , 4151 Fountain City Rd., in De Soto with a gathering from 9:30 AM – until the time of the service.

As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to High Hill Christian Camp, marked in memory of Ron Follmer, 20 Camp Lane, High Hills, MO 63350.
