Denise Louise DeLawter was born on October 19, 1950 in Chicago, IL.  She was the daughter of Marvin Wayne & Margaret Louise (nee Berry) DeLawter.  She died on June 4, 2026 in St. Louis, MO at the age of 75.
Denise graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Business Administration accounting degree. Where she was a Member of Accounting Club, Computer Science Club, Phi Gamma Nu sorority and lifetime member of Gamma Sigma Sigma Sorority which she was active in until just the last few years.  She had retired after 30 years of service with AT&T.  Denise is survived by her 2 sisters, Barbara (the late John) Long of St. Louis and Michelle (Andrew) Fox of Jerseyville, IL Also, Nieces & Nephews; Derek (Judy) Shetterly, Sharisse (Larry) Bax, Elizabeth (Jack) Vest, Gilbert (Jessica) Long, Zachariah (Elizabeth) Fox, Ziarrah (Eric) Fox,  Grandnieces & nephews, Andrew (autumn) Cox, Caitlin Cox, Aaliyah O’Neill, Jessica Duncan, Peter Duncan, Tori Bax, Trey Bax, Hannah (Jackson) Demaree, Marissa Riley, Erika Kemp, Jenny Vest, Jack Vest, Liam Long, Evie Long and Great-Grandnieces & nephews, Trevor Burke, Eliza Burke, Zoey Cox, Calvin Demaree, Caden Bax, Gannon Riley, and Serenity Riley.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents.
