We loved to watch Maxine play the organ, and most of the time she had a big smile on her face. The love and encouragement she gave to her piano students was something to see. We have had a couple of them in our church. Miss Maxine was a giver without wanting anything in return. She loved the coffee and cookies we had after church, movie night was a great time, the music on our front lawn, so much more and she enjoyed it all. I will miss our talks.

Maxine was a sweet, thoughtful and caring person in all her endeavors. . It was when Maxine joined the Louisiana Purchase Chapter, NSDAR about 10 years ago that we first met. Since then I have enjoyed her company whenever we were together, I loved sitting with her and conversing about anything and everything. It was especially delightful when she shared her poetry with us. I will miss Maxine. Wishing you peace and comfort during this hard time.

Maxine was a good person. I met her many times. Sometimes when I would talk to the children over at Hillsboro grade school about train safety. She would be in the other room with her dulcimer talking to the children about things she loved. She also took good care of a good friend of mine her husband Marvin Jinkerson. She was a good school teacher and a good friend. She will be missed. Heaven got a new Angel the day she went to heaven to watch over the people she loved.
