Maxine L. Jinkerson was born August 10, 1936 in Gary, Indiana. She was the daughter of Elias Daniel and Vessey Jane (Ralph) Spry. She passed on December 15, 2020 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Festus, MO at the age of 84 years. She is survived by her husband, Marvin W. Jinkerson, De Soto, MO; children, Donine M. Schwartz; Mark W. Wintermute, Charles “Chuck” M. Wintermute, Bradford E. Wintermute; and foreign exchange son, Radek Sterba; grandchildren, Michael, Justin, and Marcus Wintermute; Kirstin (Daniel) Lamers, Alyssa, Danielle and Jack Wintermute, Tyler, Dylan, and Ashley Wintermute; step-grandchildren, Sean-Patrick and Richie Jinkerson; Annamarie and Neil Goldstein; step great-grandchildren, Gabby Schwartz and Fletcher Schwartz. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lavonne M. Linnenburger. After moving often as a child, Maxine was happy to raise her family and grow roots in one place. She was passionate about gifted education, organ and dulcimer music, genealogy and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. She was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church where she served as the organist, P.E.O. Chapter IX and the D.A.R. Louisiana Purchase Chapter.
