Annette and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I was fortunate to meet your father while working in DeSoto and he was always the nicest man. He had a heart of gold and loved all of his family and I know he will be dearly and sadly missed. You are all in my thoughts and prayer and may God keep you all close and help you through this difficult time.

We will never forget the good times we had with Manny & Birtie. Such wonderful friends and neighbors. I wish I could have had just one more dance with Manny - he was like a feather floating on the dance floor. I will always remember the good times and I can still hear him laughing. I am so glad that I got to give him and kiss and hug, two weeks ago on his front porch and our last visit was a good one. I pray God will comfort you all in your days ahead. We all have many good memories to help us. Love, Marg & Pat

Sorry to hear about Manny passing away. I remember such good times at Lake Timberline camping and swimming and just sitting around the campfire listening to TALL tales. I will be thinking about you all.

Bertie and Family: I have many fond memories camping with you and my Good Sam friends at Lake Timberline and St. Francis. I especially remember the help Manny gave us when our camper was usable at the Lake. May God's loving presence comfort you, His perfect peace restore you, and His promise of eternal life sustain you during this time of loss. With Heartfelt Sympathy, Marietta ". . .Thou art with me; thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me." Psalm 23:4 KJV

May the entire family accept my deepest sympathies. I had never met Martin nor his family personally, but I always am deeply touched when people suffer the passing of a loved one. I too have suffered loss and it is so very very sad. But I was comforted and would like to share some comfort with you that I found in the Bible to be helpful. Please go to your Bible at John 11:11-44 and read for yourselves. One of the most profound events in the Bible has to do with when Jesus' very dear friend Lazarus died. When Jesus went to the home of Lazarus' sister he immediately wept. He knows your sadness too. Then he did something wonderful. He raised Lazarus back to life. Jesus' love for mankind will move him to do the same for our loved ones when the Great Time Keeper, Jehovah God, gives him the signal to begin. While we patiently wait instead of looking at what "was" keep looking at what "will be"....Martin will rise and you will laugh with him, hug him, and do your favorite things that you liked to do. This is a promise from God and a guarantee by Jesus' when he died for mankind. That hope will help to turn your sadness into expectation. Sadly we must patiently wait for awhile so may the peace of God soothe your sad hearts at this time.
