Stella Ernestine “Ernie” Emily was born August 10, 1940 in Tiff, MO. She was the daughter of Sydney O’Shia and Emma (nee Boyer) O’Shia-Marks. She died on April 14, 2026 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO at the age of 85 years.
She is survived by her two sons, Dewayne (Sheila) Emily, De Soto, MO and Jeff Emily, De Soto, MO and one daughter, Annette (Gene) Harris, De Soto, MO; grandchildren, Brandy (Shawn) Koch, Jeanette Emily, Tara (Allen) Russell; great-grandchildren, Owen Koch, Jayden Hancock and Drake Koch and one sister, Lavern Kane, Lemay, MO.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Nelson Emily, Jr.; siblings, Leroy O’Shea, Charles O’Shea, Joe O’Shea, Howard O’Shea, Billy O’Shea, Gary Marks and John Marks, sisters, Marcella “Leat” Levall, Jean Stevens, Mary L. Huskey and Odette Boning.
Ernie loved her dogs. She enjoyed taking rides, going out with her family, and sticking her toes in a creek. She loved being outside in the sunshine and collecting rocks to remind her of her adventures.
