Dear Bud and Family: We are so sorry to learn of Dorothy's passing. You and all your family have our deepest sympathy. Who, but God, knew that we were seeing Dorothy for the last time at the Klaus reunion on October 3. It has been our privilege to have known her these past years. We will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Love,

So sad to hear of Dorothy's passing. I have so many fond memories of her at the Jett family reunions. And thanks to all of her hard work on family ancestry, I am a member of the DAR.

Mr. Klaus, We are so truly sorry for your loss. It was so very kind of you to include us at your table at the senior center and to let us join you on the golf course. Dorothy was so nice and easy to talk to. May God keep you well in these trying times.

Mike, Patty, and all family members: In our early married life, Dorothy and Gene Klaus were our neighbors ( a field away) We enjoyed their friendship as a "neighbor". In addition, knowing several of the family members, kept us in touch in a variety of ways. Our sympathy goes to each one of you. As the tears fall at her passing, for each tear remember a fond memory. Sincerely, Rose Ann and Lindell Cole

This is a day that reminds you of the unpredictability of life. My earliest memories are of Dorothy and my mother together. They seemed inseparable as Mike, Patty and I grew up. Dorothy and my mother were such close friends. In this way I have known Dorothy all of my life, closely for the first twenty years. As I moved on in life to start my own family, I was able to remain in occasional contact through my mother, and then recently in emails from Dorothy. I can think of no words to even come close to consoling Buddy, Mike, Patty, Danny and Bobbie. Condolences are just not enough. What a wonderful women Dorothy was, and what wonderful and deep memories I have of her. My day is ending with a broken heart and tears in my eyes. You are all in my thoughts and prayers... Rich

My sweet Granny-there are no adequate words to express what you mean to me. I am going to miss our long talks on the phone each week. You were such a good listener. You always knew the perfect thing to say-my favorite-"It will all work out!". You were a huge influence in my life. I will cherish every single moment with you. I am going to miss you so much. All my love, Beth Anne

I'm so sorry for your loss, Mr. Klaus, Mike, Patty, Dan and Bob. Mrs. Klaus was always so sweet to me, and I remember many good times at your old house, right down to the popcorn after school. Mr. Klaus, I so appreciated you and Mrs. Klaus's support when both my parents died. I know how much you will all miss her, as will the community in which she was long active. She was so proud of her big family, and now it's great that you have each other to help you through this difficult time. My thoughts are with you. Andrea

I don't know Dorothy, but I've gotten to know her son Bob fairly well over the past few years as we've worked together. I suspect that Bob is the type of man he is today in no small part due to his upbringing and the role Dorothy played in his life. She has certianally left a strong legacy.

Dear Bud, Mike, Patty, Danny and Bob, I can't tell you how sad I am today. Dorothy was very dear to all of us. I will miss her so much. I will always remember our times together, especially the Jett reunions. Remember how hectic that was in 1997 when we put out the book? What great fun. May God bless you and your family and give you strength. Dorothy will always be with you in your hearts.

Bud and Family, We were so saddened to learn of Dorothy's passing. I can close my eyes and see her laughing and having so much fun with Mom and everyone over the years. I'll especially remember the times at Sears and the plums from Mom's yard that you both enjoyed. Peace be with you all. Roseann (Fisher) Sanders

Today is a sad day for all who knew Dorothy. I am so thankful we got to see both her and Bud a few months ago. Dorothy, I will always remember you trying to get me to eat okra. Such fond memories of so many good times at your home. I will miss you!

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. We will miss you, more than words.
