Dorothy Ellen Klaus was born May 2, 1929 in Beaman, MO. She was the daughter of Emerson C. “E.C.” and Ellen V. (Klein) Jett.
She died on December 14, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, MO at the age of 81 years 7 months 12 days.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene Lee “Bud” Klaus, De Soto, MO; children, Mike (Terri) Klaus, De Soto, MO; Patty (George) Alvord, Memphis, TN; Dan (Wanda) Klaus, Omaha, NE; and Bob (Melissa) Klaus, San Antonio, TX; sister-in-laws, Sally Jett, Nashville, TN and Mary Ann Jett, Omaha, NE; 16 Grandchildren and 20 Great-Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Carl Joseph Jett and Lloyd Jett.
Dorothy belonged to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Festus, MO; she was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution.
