Thomas L. Mazurek passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Thomas was born on November 30, 1960, to Joseph and Martha Mazurek and grew up in DeSoto, Missouri. He graduated from Hillsboro High School and went on to work for many years with Union Pacific Railroad.

Thomas had a deep love for the outdoors and a strong appreciation for the conservation of Missouri’s natural resources. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, and some of his happiest times were spent outdoors with family and friends. His commitment to protecting the places he loved extended beyond recreation. Thomas was an active member of the Missouri Stream Team, volunteering his time to help clean and preserve rivers and waterways throughout Missouri.

Thomas will be remembered for his love of nature, his appreciation for the wilderness, and the memories he created with those closest to him.

He is survived by his mother, Martha; his brother, Jim Mazurek (Lori); his sister, Mary Ann (Conrad) McMillin; his children, Jennifer Lewandowski (Jason), Jeff Mazurek (Amy), Julie Hubbard (Andrew), and Derek DeClue (Melanie); and his grandchildren, Taylor, Trevor, Natalie, Lola, Lane, Jayden, Piper, Layla, Jackson, Lawson, Clara, and Owen, Reece and Grayson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph; his brother, Joey; and his sister, Patricia.

His family invites those who knew and loved Thomas to remember him whenever they find themselves beside a quiet river, in the woods, around a campfire, or enjoying the beauty of the outdoors he cherished so deeply.

As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Missouri Stream Team.
