Terry Wayne Hayes was born in St. Louis on July 27, 1949 a son to Benjamin and Norma Lee (nee Kellison) Gowan, Jr. He died at Missouri Baptist Hospital on May 31, 2025 at the age of 75.  He is survived by his son Tim (Theresa) Hayes, Pacific; seven grandchildren: Alesha, Alexis, Ashley, (Bruce, II), Kyle (Grace), Tristan, Faith and Justin; five great grandchildren: Adaline, Bruce, III, Braelyn, Mason and Savanah; four sisters: Deborah House, De Soto, Linda Nappier, Fenton, Rhonda Landau, Dittmer and Cindy Greer, De Soto and one brother William  Hayes, De Soto. He is preceded in death by his parents and Herman Hayes who along with his mother raised Terry; and a sister Bonnie Lee Hayes.  Terry had retired from the Union Pacific Railroad Shop in De Soto after 41 years of service.  He also served in the National Guard.
