Sharon Rochelle Head , nee Nugent, was born on March 17, 1947 to Ruth (nee Koch) and Leslie Nugent in St. Louis County, Missouri. She died on January 7, 2022 at the age of 74. Sharon was raised in St. Louis by her mother and maternal grandmother Mae Golden Koch. She attended St. Louis Public Schools (Monroe, Long, Buder) and graduated from Cleveland High School in 1965. She earned an Associates Degree from Jefferson College, a Bachelor’s Degree from Harris-Stowe State University, and a Master’s Degree from Maryville University.
She was a member of Hope United Christ in De Soto, and taught for 21 years at the Kingston K-14 School District in Cadet, Missouri.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Larry Head, her nephew Shawn Head, her niece Karen Ridenour, and many friends and relatives. She is survived by her son, James Varon Head and many nieces and nephews of the Ridenour and Head families, and her sweet dog, Coty.
There will be no services. The body was gifted to the Washington University School of Medicine. As an expression of sympathy memorials may be made to any organization that helps animals.
