Robert Eugene Cowee, Sr. was born in St. Louis on July 27, 1934 a son to Victor Duward and Violet (nee Hamilton) Cowee. He died on January 30, 2024 at Presbyterian Manor at the age of 89. He is survived by his children: Robert E. “Bob” (Becky) Cowee, Jr., Graham, WA, Paula (Ronald) Akins, De Soto, Rhonda (Mark) Smith, Woodbury, TN, Tracy (Elaine) Cowee, St. Stephens, S.C., Timothy (Kelly) Cowee, St. Louis and Laurie Isenhart, Goose Creek; eighteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a brother William Cowee, St. Louis; a son in law Joe Lore, Cadet and a sister in law Ruby Cowee, St. Louis. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Phyllis J. (nee Hyde) Cowee; a daughter Pamela Lore; a sister Mary Jackson, two brothers James Cowee and Raymond Cowee; a son in law Doug Isenhart; two sisters in law Angie Cowee and Katie Cowee and brother in law Gene Jackson. Mr Cowee was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War and had worked at the University Club in St. Louis. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church-Potosi.
