Randy D. Mavis was born on July 5, 1947 in Saginaw, MI.  He was the son of the late Harvey Mavis & Beatrice Stenger (nee Apgar) of Michigan.  He died on November 29, 2019 at his home at the age of 72.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Paula (nee Elliott) Mavis of De Soto, MO, whom he married on February 28, 1970 in Las Vegas, NV; his daughter, Jill Missey of De Soto, MO; one grandson, Kyle Greenlee; sisters-in-law, Peggy (Bob) Scher of DeSoto, MO and Penny (Derek) Harnish of De Soto; nieces and nephews, Dr. Luis (Dr. Loran) Solorio, Kevin (Dr. Alyssa Master) Solorio, Erin (Charlie) Thornton, and April (Ben) Reid; great nieces and nephews, Evan & Noah Solorio, Paityn & Tyler Thornton, Gaven, Aliza, and Abby Reid.

He was preceded in death by his father, his brother, Kyle Mavis, sister-in-law Pamela Elliott, and mother-in-law, Mabel Hatcher.

Randy was a truck driver for Drumtech, Inc.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the AmVets Post 48 Riders.
