Phyllis was a wonderful business/accounting teacher. I worked with her in the 1980's in the JTPA program at Jefferson College. She was responsible for many women and a few men gaining much needed employment to become self-sufficient. I am proud to have known and worked with her and am sorry for your loss. I am sorry I did not see the notice until after the service or I certainly would have attended the service. Phyllis was a good colleague and friend.

Aunt Phyllis was always so kind and giving to me. She never forgot my birthday or my son's birthday. She was there for my graduation and my wedding. I will greatly miss her. I am very sorry I am unable to attend the funeral services. Uncle Bob and family, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Our sympathy to Bob and family. We are in Alabama and cannot be with you at this time. I enjoyed working with Phyllis at St Charles and am so thankful she was able to be with us at our Bus Ed luncheon last Dec at my house. She really seemed to enjoy it. Thanks so much for bringing her. She was a great lady and will be missed. Our love! Barry and Bonnie Fitzgerald

Phyllis and I had such fun on so many occasions, especially going off to SIU--where we were charter members of "Club 16" and sorority sisters. I considered her to be my "Jimminy Cricket". Although we've lived far apart for years, I knew Phyllis was always there to talk me through the tough times and share the fun times. She contributed so positively to my life. I will forever feel her loss.

What happy memories I have of Phyllis. While I am saddened by her death, I know she is now free of pain and in a much better place. My prayers are with her and her lovely family. I will be making a memorial donation to the Siteman Cancer Center.

Bob and girls my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I'll always remember the Club 16 picnics my parents and family went to and have many good memories of Phyllis and her family. Phyllis always remembered me and Penny at Christmas and our birthday with cards and gifts. Phyllis will be remembered by me and my family in the highest regard. She will be missed by all.

Phyllis was my first and best childhood friend. We shared many happy memories of times shared growing up in Magnolia, IL. Even though we lived far apart we stayed close in heart and spirit. Phyllis fought the good fight-now she rests happy and well.

Phyllis was a very bright spot in so many peoples' lives. I'm sorry she had such a struggle but true to her profession, she was teaching all of us to the very end.

Phyllis was always fair an hospitable to me. She always laughed at my jokeing around with her.In later years I didn't see her but ounce in awhile, but I kept track of her. I wish I had visited more than I did.She was a very good teacher an cared about all of her students.I know that by conversations with her.She made a differance in this old world.I always felt close to her family, not always on such good terms though.
