Phyllis J. Wilmoth was born September 21, 1932 in Magnolia, IL a daughter to Harold and Lavern (nee Boyer) Lundgren. She died at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis on March 3, 2011 at the age of 78. She is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” Wilmoth of De Soto who she married on February 14, 1953 in Carbondale, IL; three daughters: Cheryl Wilmoth, Valdosta GA, Cindy Somogye, Chesterfield, and Angela (Gene) Meyer, Midland, MI; one brother: John “J.P.” (Sandy) Lundgren, Charlotte, NC; grandchildren: T.R. (Amber) Minard, Anthony “Tony” Viliocco, Kendra Meyer, Kirstin Meyer, and Wesley Meyer; great-grandchildren: Alyssa Minard and Holly Minard. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, colleagues, and friends. She had taught in the Brentwood and St. Charles West School Districts as well as Jefferson College and was a member of MSTA and Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority. Following the funeral service in De Soto on Sunday there will be a graveside service at the First Lutheran Church New Cemetery, Varna IL on Monday at 12:30pm.
