May you rest in PEACE. Every day you brought JOY to others. Every story or poem, I heard you tell, made me laugh, smile and even shed a few tears. Thanks for being. You will be missed Norman.

It's difficult to express the feelings of loss when someone as dear as Norman leaves this earthly life, but I find comfort in knowing he is with our Lord and his beautiful Ginny and we will all again be with him. I had the pleasure of knowing Norman for almost forty years and directing him in many plays with Pasadena Players. He had a natural talent, that he was unaware of, that he was able to tap into and blossom into an extremely creative actor. He had an unusual ability to play any part and was always so believable. Steve followed suit and surprised us all with his ability. They both didn't know they had that in them. Ginny joined the group taking tickets, handling refreshments and helping wherever needed. They were all very special people and a joy to work with. As the players became more well known and extended their venues, Norman became the producer and put his heart and soul into everything. We couldn't have done it without him. I'm so grateful for his time, commitment, dedication and friendship. I find it hard to avoid superlatives, but he was truly the most conscientious and sincere person I have ever met. He would pour over every detail for hours/days to make sure everything was right. He was also very humble. He did so many things undercover, never taking or wanting credit. We will never know all of the things he did for so many. When Pasadena Players finally disbanded, Norman set up a recurring date for all of us to get together and continue to enjoy our friendships. He was a skilled writer and penned endless poems, letters and cards for his friends and family that he continued to send each year. I'm blessed to have been reunited with him just a few months ago when not only was he able to attend my 90th birthday celebration, but wrote a beautiful poem for me that he shared with my guests. I will treasure that memory. My grandchildren had the opportunity to meet him for the first time and were so taken by his warm and gentle nature. My granddaughter rescued a new puppy shortly after and decided "Norman" was the perfect name. I'm so grateful that the Lord made Norman a treasured part of my life, Ginni Bowie

Steve, Phil and family, We are so deeply sorry for your loss. Norman was a beautiful soul with the kindest heart. He was one of those special people who enriched your life for having known him. He did that for not only his family and friends, but for co-workers, church members, fellow actors and anyone who was fortunate enough to have been a part of his life. My best memories of him were his Pasadena Players performances. He had the perfect mix of drama, sarcasm, humor and timing. Some of the lines he delivered were hilarious and Ginny was the audience member laughing the loudest. Their loving relationship made an impression on me early in life. It was clear they were the perfect soulmates. I will remember Norman best for his clever and witty poems, humorous stories and caring heart. I'm so very thankful to have known him. Norman will remain with us forever in our hearts, Jeanie (Bowie) Hyatt
