This is terribly sad news. Lenn was one of the nicest people I have ever known and the world will not be the same place without him. My thoughts go out to all of his families and friends at this time

One of my 6th grade teachers. He and Miss. Schroder (I think I have the right name) team taught 6th grade classes in prefab building just outside the junior high by the old gym. Nice man and my memory was of him being a gentle but firm teacher. He had to be with me and my friends. Laughed a lot too. Sorry to hear this and blessings to the family. Joe Johnson

So sad to hear this news! Leonard was such a wonderful father, teacher and friend. I have many happy memories of times I spent with his family and teaching with him. He will be singing with the angels.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of Leonard. In 1968 I taught summer school in a classroom next to him at Hillsboro. On hot summer days he insisted on taking my playground duty. He was the only person to do that in my 36 years there.
He was a caring person and a very good tenor. I sang with him in Community Chorale.

My condolences to Leonard's family. Leonard was my "next door neighbor" when I started teaching at Hillsboro Middle Schooll, his guidance and sense of humor helping me so much. Leonard had a beautiful singing voice and I enjoyed accompanying him on many occasions. He will be missed. Maxine Jinkerson

I have nothing but good memories of Mr Williams as my fifth grade teacher and them as my sixth grade reading teacher! He made learning interesting and enjoyable! He is the reason I truly love to read to this day! I was in his fifth grade class at Hillsboro Middle school the year he got married. Much later in life I did get the chance to tell him how much I appreciated him as a teacher. So sorry for his family. May God be with them through this sad time.

Lenn was our next door neighbor in Soulard for many years. He was a great friend to us. Amanda and Bette were Torrey's 1st baby sitters. We shared birthdays and holidays with Lenn and his family. He was a wonderful man with a warm heart and a generous spirits. We feel blessed to have known him and his wonderful kids. My deepest sympathy on the loss of your Dad. Best, Jim Orlopp

To the nieces and nephews, I am sorry to hear about your dad. He sang at my wedding (Joe) and participated in the Uncle Bill adventures. He was a brother in law for many years. Love Aunt Anita

Lenn is a perfect example of why I joined the Gateway Men's Chorus. He made me laugh and became my brother in song. Although I haven't seen him in years, I will always count him amongst the dearest of friends whose lives I have had the privilege of sharing through the years.

Lenn was my neighbor in Soulard for many years. My favorite memory is when he would call me and say, "come out on your back deck," and then hand me a loaf of still-hot-from-the-oven homemade bread over the fence. An awesome friend with a beautiful soul. May you rest in peace, Lenn.

Jason, Mark, Sarah, Amanda, Bette, and Zach - When I read about the passing of your Dad many, many memories crowded into my mind of times when several little cousins enjoyed playing together. Life changes and life goes on, but those memories remain clear and dear to my heart. Your Dad was a special man and I can imagine that he was greeted yesterday by Uncle Paul with a funny story to tell him. My love goes out to each of you! Aunt JoAnne
