Leonard Williams was born on June 22, 1943 in De Soto, MO. He was the son of Elmer & Marie (nee Huskey) Williams. He died on August 3, 2015 at Mercy Hospital – St. Louis at the age of 72.
He is survived by his children, Jason (Sarah) Williams of Michigan City, IN; Mark (Darylann) Williams of Onalaska, Wisconsin; Sara (James) Maness of De Soto, MO(; Amanda (Mark, Sr.) Schweiger of Arnold, MO; Bette (Daniel) Best of Farmington, MO; and Zachary Williams of St. Louis, MO; brother, James (Mary Lynn) Williams of De Soto; one sister-in-law, Betty Williams, De Soto, MO; and 20 grandchildren. Leonard was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Laura Williams; siblings, Lindell Williams, Marjorie Bouska, and Delores Maness.
Mr. Williams had a Master’s Degree from South East Missouri State University, and taught at the Hillsboro Jr. High School for 37 years. He was a member of the Gateway Men’s Chorus, portrayed Henry Shaw at the Botanical Gardens, and a member of the Jefferson County Community Theater.
