Kenneth A. McKalip was born on May 11, 1932 in Arkansas. He was the son of Joseph A. & Josie Mabell (nee Green) McKalip. He died on August 4, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, MO.
He is survived by his children, Deborah (Ralph) Harris of Imperial, MO; Kenneth (Patricia) McKalip of Blackwell, MO; Jerry (Chris) McKalip of De Soto, MO; Dennis (Kym) McKalip of De Soto, MO; Brother, Carl (Ester) McKalip of De SOto, MO; grandchildren, Richard (Jennifer) Harris; David (Barbara) Harris; Amanda McKalip; Nikki (Adam) Heggemann; Kelly (Vernon, Jr.) Henson; Chad McKalip; and Melanie McKalip; 4 step grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 7 step-greatgrandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Shirley A. McKalip; siblings, Sally Kirksey, Rachel Bennett, Mary Idell Ivy, Esdell McKalip, Nancy McKalip, and Catherine McKalip.
Mr. McKalip served in the U.S. Army during Korea and was a P.O.W. He was a member of Amvets Post 48; VFW Post 1831, Korean War Veterans Association, C.I.A. of Jefferson County.
