Karl William Walker, Sr. was born at the Walker home in De Soto on December 20, 1947 a son to Woodrow T. “Pop” Walker, Sr.. and Thelma (Johnson) Walker. The Doctor was late getting to the house so his family always celebrated his birthday on December 21. He died at his De Soto home on November 19, 2021 at the age of 73. He is survived by his wife Sandra “Sandy” (nee Venz) Walker; two sons Karl (Michelle) Walker Jr., De Soto and John (Becca) Walker, Festus; five grandchildren: Dustin (Shannon) Walker, Derek (Becca) Walker, Megan Walker, Hannah Walker and Olivia Walker; a great grandchild Ava; one sister Alice Ann Aubuchon, Festus; four brothers Woodrow (Terri) Walker, Jr., De Soto, Fred (Wanda) Walker, Maryville, LA, Robert (Peggy) Walker, Hillsboro and Steve (Chrissy) Walker, De Soto. He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter. Karl proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and had retired from the Chrysler Auto Assembly Plant in Fenton. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #136 and enjoyed the outdoors, especially deer hunting. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
