Juanita D. Shaftner was born August 31, 1931 in Collinsville, IL a daughter to Jess and Nigel (nee Woods) Brown.  She died August 18, 2010 at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center at the age of 78.  She is survived by her step father Ed Philips of Richwoods;  three sons George Stalley, Richwoods, Raymond (Tammy) Stalley, Arnold, and Michael (Janis) Stalley, Oakville; one daughter Anna (Garry, Sr.) Davenport, High Ridge; six grandchildren Angela (Don) Dill, Thomas Jaeger, Justin Stalley, Kyle Stalley, Shainna Davenport, and Garry (Mayuko) Davenport, Jr.;  three great grandchildren Sophia Dill, Madeline Dill, and Isabella Davenport; two sisters Myrtle M. “Tootie” Goff, Highland, Il and Sandra (Russell) Johnston, Desloge.  She is preceded in death by her parents; three husbands, Raymond Stalley Sr., Anthony “Tony” Sorrino, and David Shaftner; and one brother Jess R. Brown.  She was a volunteer  at the St. Vincent DePaul Store in Richwoods.  She had  previously worked as a sales clerk for Stix, Baer, and Fuller Department Store and Wal-Mart, she had also worked at Bethesda Hosptial.  Father Robert Liss will conduct an evening prayer service Saturday.  A Memorial Mass will be held at later date at St. Stephen’s Catholic  Church, Richwoods with inurnment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Store, Richwoods, MO
