- Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery, De Soto, MO
Jeanne F. Bliss Knight was born May 25, 1929 in Granite City, IL a daughter to Grace (nee Merseal) and John Wallace Politte, Sr. She died at Hillcrest Care Center on September 14, 2019 at the age of 90. She is survived by her husband Junior Knight, De Soto; her children: Wayne (Becky) Bliss, Jr., De Soto; Rhonda (Dr. Lance) Allen, Stilwell, KS, and John “Buzz” (Cindy Laiben) Bliss, Imperial; grandchildren: Sean (Stephanie) Bliss, Dresden Striklin, Brianna Bishop, Krysten (Caedrynn) Conner, Keely Allen, Mackenzie (Damon) Comerio, and Brennan (Josh) Hendrick; great-grandchildren: Samantha, Alyssa, Dylan, Bren, Auggie, Kayla, Ethan, Andraya, Tatum, Mykah, Liam, Mya, Lexi, Carmine, and Gianna; one great-great grandchild Carson; a daughter-in law: Gale Bliss, Festus a son-in-law Tim Bishop, Hillsboro; Junior’s daughters: Dana Knight, De Soto, and Doris Hopper, Nashville; Doris’s children: Alessa (Steve) Brakeman, Danyelle (Craig) Dowling, and Mylinda (Josh) Vollett and grandchildren: Chase, Gray, Mason, Zoe, Kayleigh, and Kinsley. She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Wayne Bliss, Sr.; a daughter: Connie Bishop; a son Dennis Bliss; two sisters: Norma Faye Price and Verna Martin and two brothers: John W. Politte, Jr. and Roscoe Politte. Jeanne worked at Westland Pharmacy. She was a active member of the First Baptist Church, De Soto, MO where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School; she was also head of the Senior luncheon and dinners along with the bereavement dinners.
