Mae was a very dear friend. She was a devout Christian.
Mae had the most postive attitude and so caring and thoughtful.
She called church members to always wish them a Happy Birtday.
I will miss our phone calls to each other. She loved her family dearly.
I was looking forward to her 98th birthday to take her to lunch.
My life was so much richer by knowing her and Redeemer has lost a faithful friend.
Our prayers amd thoughts are with her family.

All my memories of Mae are sweet and very dear to me. As a young child I would visit her at her house across the road from us. Five decades later I moved back into our family farmhouse and once again we were neighbors. During the 5 years we lived there we had many visits. We loved to talk about the Lord. She told me several times, "Janis I'm ready for the Lord to call me home". My thoughts and prayers are with you Bobby & Roy & the rest of the family. Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of HIS saints.

I met mae on a bus trip with the baptist golden agers about 30 years ago. we had a good friendship, although when i moved away for a while, we lost contact .,and since i returned i had a lot of health problems.when i remarried after my husband had died ,mae came to our wedding. we had asked for no one to bring gifts.Mae wanted me to have a wedding gift ,which is something i will always treasure.
it is a small intricate metal spatula to remove that FIRST slice of pie.I told her it was the nicest gift and ,it has been 24 years and i use it every day for something.
i wanted the family to know how much that thoughtfullness has meant to me ,and my family at our family meals.my daughter has looked for one for her ,because it is so unique.R-I-P mae i love you. you were a sweet lady.heaven is lucky to have you there.

I took a group of families to Kids Sea Camp in Bonaire duinrg August 2010. It was one of the best weeks I can remember! As I taught all of them to dive, it was very rewarding to see them dive into the ocean for the first time. Having parents and their kids share this together formed memories that these families will share forever! I'm looking forward to attending Kids Sea Camp again this summer with another group of people. I look forward to spending the week introducing them to the underwater world
