Mae Filkins Landrum was born August 12, 1914 in De Soto a daughter to Louis E. and Hulda (nee Beckmeyer) Hardin.  She died at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center on July 29, 2012 at the age of 97.  She is survived by her sons: Robert “Bob” Filkins, De Soto and Roy Filkins, Brentwood; one brother Donald (Patricia) Hardin, Sunset Hills; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren;one great-great-grandchild; two step-daughters: Dorothy Schlett, De Soto and Ruby Crump, Florissant and a sister-in-law Mabel Hardin, St. Louis. She is preceded in death by her husband: Royce Landrum; one son: Richard Filkins; one brother Howard Hardin; four daughters-in-law: Barbara Filkins, Myrtle Pettus Filkins, Betty Filkins, and Eleanor Filkins;  three step sons: Jerry Landrum, Terry Landrum, and Leonard Landrum and one step-son-in-law: Fred Schlett. She worked as a receptionist/secretary for the Brown Shoe Company, Clayton, then the Wegmann Law Firm, Hillsboro, and finally the St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church.  She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.  Rev. Dr. G. Michael Rose will officiate all services.
