- Service Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 1:00 PM.
- Interment: Hillsboro Cemetery.
Grace McKeen was born in Hillsboro on May 22, 1916 a daughter to Preston and Susie (nee Layman) Pigg. She died at her De Soto home on August 18, 2018 at the age of 102. She is survived by her daughter Darlene Schlett; three grandchildren: Karl Schlett, Bonne Terre, Daniel (Christine) Schlett, De Soto, and Elaine Schlett, De Soto; three great-grandchildren: Felicia Tovar, Dustyn Schlett, and Jarod Schlett; two great-great-grandchildren: Tayla Schlett and River Grace Tovar, and one brother: Cleo Pigg, De Soto. She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands: Raymond Wilson and James “Jack” McKeen; a son-in-law: Andrew “Andy” Sclett; two sisters: Bertha Brauch and Alice Goodwin; and eight brothers: James Pigg, Ira Pigg, Claude Pigg, Floyd Pigg, Lloyd Pigg, Jesse Pigg, Charles Pigg, and John Pigg.
Grace enjoyed gardening, watching her hummingbirds, traveling, cooking, and doing for others. She had retired from the De Soto Shoe Factory.
