Floyd L. Wallen was born in Chloride, MO on June 18, 1927 a son to Floyd A. and Violet M. (nee Miller) Wallen. He died on November 19, 2016 at Mercy Hospital-Jefferson at the age of 89. He is survived by his wife Ruth (nee Coffman) Wallen of De Soto; one son James Wallen, De Soto; two grandsons Andrew and Kyle Wallen; and a half brother: George Wallen, Otto; he is is preceded in death by his parents; his step father: Richard “Dick” Tackett; one son: Steve Wallen; and one sister: Patricia Dallas. Floyd served in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired as a carman from the Union Pacific Railroad, was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen of America, and a member and Deacon Emeritus of the First Baptist Church-De Soto. Pastor Dr. Jeremy Muniz will officiate the funeral service. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of De Soto, 2000 Grace Way, De Soto, MO 63020
