Evelyn J. Vance was born October 23, 1934, a daughter to Dudley and Margaret (nee Pounds) Sheldon. She died at Mercy Hospital Jefferson on June 29, 2013 at the age of 78. She is survived by her two sons: Jeff (Carol) Vance, Festus, and David (Regina) Vance, De Soto; four grandsons: Ryan, Terry, Tracy, and Zachary; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters: Irene Summers and Jean DeClue; and one brother Bob Sheldon. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Donald Lee Vance; four sisters: Virginia Urfer, Lois Coonce, Katherine Gibson, and Maxine Johnson; and two brothers: Norman Sheldon and Clifton Sheldon. Services will be private.
