Dorothy Powers

Dorothy B. E. (nee Lewis) Powers was born on March 25, 1934 in New London, Conn. She was the daughter of Harry & Jane Lewis. She died on January 16, 2014 at Scenic View Nursing Facility in Herculaneum, MO at the age of 79.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years Robert “Bob” Powers of De Soto; a brother, Sam Lewis of Norwalk, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Marian McKeever, Harry Lewis, Robert Lewis, and Herbert Lewis.
Dorothy was a member of the First United Methodist Church of De Soto and with her husband made deliveries for Meals on Wheels. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
