Dorothy I. Missey was born in Lemay on April 9, 1938 a daughter to Elmer and Edna (nee King) Bradford. She died at Mercy Hospital – Jefferson on August 27, 2016 at the age of 78. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Charles “Charlie” Misssey of De Soto; four children: Laura (William A.) Duffner, De Soto, Edward Missey, De Soto, Joe (Jenny) Missey, De Soto, and Chrissy (Jason Barbey) Hedrick, De Soto; five sisters: Glenda Thompson, De Soto, Norma Adney, De Soto, Ruth Ann Becker, Farmington, Kathy Gegg, Festus, and Becky Rhineberger, Festus; one brother: Michael Bradford, De Soto; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Edward Bradford and Dennis Sanders. Dorothy worked for years at De Soto Rexall Drug and also worked for Dee-Gees Market and De Soto Wal-Mart. She was a tremendous cook and homemaker.
