Darlene Nell Deming Purtle was born August 2, 1947 in Aurora, MO. She was the daughter of Donald Clay Sr. and Lucile Elsie (nee Wyker) Deming. She passed on March 27, 2017 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO at the age of 69 years. She is survived by her companion, Jack Christopher, Festus, MO; step daughters, Kara Christopher, St. Louis, MO and Corinne Purtle, Festus, MO; brother-in-law, Al Cummins, Republic, MO and sister-in-law, Donna Deming, Valrico, FL. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Charles Tantham and George Purtle; sister, Harriet Cummins and brother, Don Deming, Jr. Darlene was a LPN and Respiratory Therapist at several area nursing homes and hospitals. She was a 1965 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and a member of the Festus United Methodist Church.
