Dale Gillman Huskey was born in Ware on April 11, 1927 a son to Lloyd and Verna (nee Brauch) Huskey.  He died at his Ware home in February 4, 2023 at the age of 95.  A graduate of Hillsboro High School Dale served in the Merchant Marines and the United States Army.   On March 26 , 1949 he married Mae Pierce in Hillsboro.  He is survived by his wife Mae Huskey, Ware; two children: Neil (Angie) Huskey, De Soto and Gale (Biff) Mahn, Ware; three grandchildren: Dr. Sam (Dr. Allison Hotop) Huskey, Perryville, J.P. (Courtney) Mahn, De Soto and Gabe (Shawnee) Mahn, De Soto; three great grandchildren: Sadie Mae Mahn, Charlotte Mahn and Oliver Mahn; two sisters: Betty (the late Gene) Allen and Celeste (Ron) Roberts and one brother Norman (Edna Mae) Huskey.  He is preceded in death by his parents and his step father Charles Pigg.  Dale was a delivery driver for Datillo Fuel as well as driving a school bus for the Grandview School District.  He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing and gardening and volunteering for the Grandview School District.  Dale was a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church.  As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to:  Pilgrim’s Rest Memorial Gardens; 11441 Ware Church Road, Hillsboro, MO  63050.
