Brenda Lea Horton was born in De Soto on May 1, 1950 a daughter to Homer and Juanita (nee Huskey) Thebeau.  She died on July 12, 2024 at Mercy Hospital-Jefferson at the age of 74.  She is survived by her husband James M. “Mike” Horton, Cadet; three children: Michelle (Jeff) Rinehart, Hillsboro, Hallie Horton, Festus and Andy (Tara) Horton, De Soto; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister Dawn (Jon “Rusty”) Hedger and three brothers: Dale Thebeau, De Soto, Gary (Laura) Thebeau, De Soto and Tim (Brenda) Thebeau, Linn Creek.  She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother Steven Thebeau and a sister in law Marilyn Thebeau.  Brenda was a member of the De Soto Christian Church and had retired as a secretary from the Kingston K-14 School District.  As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to: De Soto Christian Church, 4151 Fountain City Road, De Soto, MO  63020 or the Kingston K-14 School District, 10047 Diamond Road, Cadet, MO  63630
