Hey, Bob! This is Shawn. I'm crying as I type this my friend. Our friendship in this life was pretty short, but how I thank God that He brought us together. Your faith will always be a great source of encouragement and strength for Sandra and me. I know I didn't get to know you for very long here, but I love you my brother in Christ. You're someone I'll always look up to. We're going to miss you, but know we'll keep you, Debbie, and all your loved ones in our prayers. I can't imagine you're not already with Jesus given your generosity, faith, and humility, but if you're not, I know your time in purgatory just has to be really short. One great solace I have for both you and for those of us here who will be missing you is that in an amazing, wonderful way that my human mind will never be able to understand till I get where I pray you are, since our wonderful Father in Heaven created this whole thing called "time," He can do whatever He wants with it and every single second of time is for Him the current moment, which means that every single person who will ever be in heaven with Him is in His existence already there!!! Because that's true, when you get to heaven (and I think you're already there), you won't miss your saved loved ones even for a nanosecond because you'll be with them already. It's only us who will have to grieve till we see you again. Thank you for blessing both Sandra and me so much.... Thank you for your faith, your gentle spirit, for all your prayers, your encouragement, for clearly putting others before yourself. It will always remain our privilege to call you our friend. I hate cancer, my friend, more and more and more every day...how it robs us of our loved ones and of so much else along the way. How I prayed for you to beat it, my brother. I hate to be selfish, but please pray for me that our Lord wills me to beat it.... It's not dying that really scares me the most. It's not being here for Sandra.... I know you completely understand. I surely wish I would've gotten to see you before you left, Bob, BUT I surely never would've asked you to wait on me when Jesus beckoned, either, so until we see you again, just remember how greatly you're loved. Your friends always, Shawn and Sandra
