Bern S. Rousan was born July 6, 1917 in Fletcher, MO. He was the son of Thomas G. and Hattie E. (nee Dugan) Rousan. He died on June 17, 2013 at the Crabapple Village in St. Clair, MO at the age of 95 years. He is survived by his step-children, Dick (Jean) Merseal and Barbara (George) Epple; grandchildren, Robin Estepp, Scott Rousan, Brenda Rousan, Tim Rousan, and Kevin Rousan; Great-grandchildren, Tim Kellogg, Travis Rousan, Kaylee Rousan, and Stephanie Rousan; 5 Great-Great Grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 13 step Great Grandchildren; and several step great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Grace (nee McAnally) Rousan and Lena (nee Bourbon) Merseal Rousan; one son, Bernard Lee “Buck” Rousan; two brothers, Grant and Charles Rousan; one step-grandchild, Jeff Cardwell. Bern was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, De Soto, MO; he was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #119 A.F. & A.M.; charter member of Richwood’s Lion’s Club; and belonged to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
