Wayne Whittley was born on July 17, 1937 in Van Duser, MO. He was the son of Elmer & Kathryn (nee Jordan) Whittley. He died on October 21, 2021 at his daughter’s home in De Soto, MO at the age of 84.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 65 years, Evelyn (nee Wisdom) Whittley of De Soto, MO; his children, Karen (Jim) Stringer of De Soto, MO; Kathy (Joe) Oliver of De Soto, MO; Davis Wayne Whittley of De Soto, MO; and Thomas Scott (Connie) Whittley of Hillsboro, MO; grandchildren: Shelby Cox, Richard McCane, Jeffrey James Wayne Stringer, Blake Whittley, Wayne Whittley, Torie Orton, Seth Colby Oliver, Joshua Oliver, Devin Wayne Whittley, Brittney Whittley, Desiree Whittley, and Skyler Whittley; great-grandchildren: Kasondra, Daniel, Nishea, Taylor, Claire, Patrick, Liam, Everly, Jude, Sasha, Alexandra, Lillie, Parker, Connor, Hailey, Nora, Colby Weston, Olivia, Lila, Michael, Bella, Isaiah, Ezra, Avi; and great-great grandchildren: Jenna, Clayton, Bennet Fischer, and Zavaea; siblings, Roy Whittley of Advance, MO; Millidean Wallace of Hillsboro, MO; Betty Lou Meyers of Fruitland, MO; Emma Mae Lyons of Labadie, MO; Gerald Whittley of Essex, MO; Bonnie Sue Klinner of Stanton, MO; Delmar Whittley of Union, MO.

Wayne was retired from General Motors and a member of UAW Local #2250.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Dwayne Whitley; and one sister, Audrey Burns.
