Wanda Lee Mallery, age 77, of De Soto, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. She was born July 3, 1935, in Jefferson County, Missouri, a daughter of the late Chester L. and Pearl C. Richardson Forshee.
On May 7, 1954, in De Soto, she was united in marriage to Gordon Mallery, who survives.
Wanda volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul in De Soto for over 20 years. She had a green thumb and enjoyed her flower gardens.
In addition to her husband Gordon, Sr., she is survived by her daughter, Brenda Acklie and husband Walt of Eldon; son, Gordon Mallery, Jr. and wife Deana of Leadwood, Missouri; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Chester D. Forshee of Kahoka, Missouri and Everett Forshee of De Soto, Missouri; sisters, Catherine Pennock of De Soto, Missouri, Judy Sansoucie of De Soto, Missouri, Peggy Fessler of Valles Mines, Missouri and Myra Lawson of De Soto, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary L. Forshee.
