Walter Huskey

Walter Gibson Huskey was born the youngest of the twelve children of Albert C. and Stella (nee Wood) Huskey in De Soto on November 24, 1933. He died at Festus Manor on August 17, 2013 at the age of 79. He is survived by his wife: Christine (nee Williams) Huskey; one son: Walter Quinn (Margaret) Huskey, St. Louis; one daughter: Anna (Wayne, Sr.) Steinman, Festus, MO; five grandchildren: Wayne Steinman, Jr., Nancy Steinman, Lauri (Vance) Thienes, Kimberly (Michael Kinkade) Huskey, and Tonya Huskey; four great-grandchildren: Tyler Thienes, Samantha Thienes, Ava Thienes, and Devin Huskey Doolittle; one sister: Tillie Glenn, St. Louis; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son: Terry Huskey; seven sisters: Glorene Mann, Marjorie James, Norma Moses, Mildred Wilkinson, Lola Mathis, Edith Amberger, and Lillian Christian; and three brothers: Ernest Huskey, Willie Huskey, and Eugene Huskey. He was a retired Wetterau Corp. employee, member of Teamsters Local #688, gun enthusiast, and United States Army veteran of the Korean War.
