Like many, I only knew Wade through Amateur Radio Satellites, but had the distinct pleasure and honor of having many QSOs with him via the satellites, Twitter and emails. We discussed strategies for grid chasing, working linear satellites, and of course fishing. Prayers to you Wade (N0TEL) and your family, and I hope we bring a smile to your face as the AMSAT Satellite community points our antennas to the sky in your honor. You will be forever remembered and missed. 73 de Kell / KI7UXT.

While I never met Wade in person, we did compare notes on operating satellites remotely. When he went to the New River Gorge area on WV this year he reached out to me about an operating spot with a view of the bridge. I had worked him from that spot in Nov '19, and he sent me a photo of the trailhead and sent me a message from Long Point remarking on the view. "WOW!!" Thanks for all the QSOs and Twitter conversations, Wade. 73 N0TEL DE N4DCW SK E E

I knew Wade only through our contacts online from the amateur radio community. I can say Wade was a great guy. He reached out to others including me to help with our technical issues. Wade and I ended up exchanging conversation about many things outside of amateur radio including family and our trips to Italy. We ended up exchanging some photos. I will really miss Wade and am very saddened to learn of his passing. My condolences to your family Wade - I will miss you.

What sad and shocking news. I enjoyed chatting with Wade on Ham Radio and his callsign (N0TEL) always reminded me of the former Canadian company Nortel. We would often be the only 2 on mutual northern satellite passes. Condolences and prayers for the family.

Knew Wade by voice and he was always very friendly on the birds (satellites). His amateur radio satellite friends will miss him dearly. He was a regular presence on Twitter and clearly loved the hobby. We all miss his voice

Beth, Megan & family— I am terribly sorry for your loss. On the occasions in which I met or talked with Wade, it was always strikingly obvious how much he loved and treasured his family. I know his loss leaves a hole in your lives, but his love for all of you can never be separated from your hearts, nor can your love for him. I will remember all of you in my thoughts and prayers and pray that God’s healing touch will lessen your pain over time. I’m so sorry

My heart is breaking for all of you and for those that worked with Wade for so many years and loved him. I am definitely one of those. He always called me mom and that was so special to me. When Wade first came on the Patrol, he was assigned to work in the zone where my husband was the sergeant. Wade was a hard worker and truly a one of a kind trooper. Blessings and hugs for his family. May he rest in peace.

Beth. My heart is breaking. I knew Wade very well from working at the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorneys Office. I even remember his badge number: 738. He was a wonderful person and a good friend. He talked about you, Brian and Megan all of the time. My prayers are with all of you during this very difficult time. I will never forget him.
