Virginia May Riles was born on January 1, 1929 in Charleston, MO. She was the daughter of Bausy McDermott and Luella (nee Byrd) McDermott. She died on January 7, 2016 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City at the age of 87.
She is survived by her husband, Jess Riles of Crystal City, MO; her children, Sandy (Michael) Allen-McIntyre of Roseburg, OR; Doyle “Duke” Price of De Soto, MO; Todd (Chris) Price of Herculaneum, MO; and step son Ralph Riles or Ware, MO; grandchildren, Dustin Price, Payton Price, Nicholas Price, Rebecca Meredith, and Ben Allen; step grandchild, Liz Mathew; great grandchildren, Stella, Hendrick, Judah, and Charlie; and one sister, Francis Jean Barborek of Charleston, MO.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband. LeRoy Price; infant son, Stephen L. Price; step daughter, Diana Koltun; step-grandson, Justin Caine; and brothers, Donnie, Vernon, James, Herman, and Gary McDermott; and sisters LaVerne Hammers, Joan Cassey and Mary Eggers.
She was employed at State Bank of De Soto as a cashier and then retired as Vice President.
Her final prayer was that all of her family and friends come to know Christ because she wants to see them in Heaven.
