Thomas F. “Tommy” Hopkins was born in Donaphin on August 6, 1934, a son to Wiley and Myrtle (nee Coal) Hopkins, He died at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center on June 8, 2012 at the age of 77.  He is survived by his children: Clifford (Vicki) Patterson, Washinton. IL, Vesta Lynn (Alan) Ladyman, De Soto, Deborah (Ronnie) Ladyman, De Soto, Marty Hopkins, Potosi, and Lisa Hopkins, De Soto; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild; two sisters: Virginia Chamberlin, Rockford, IL and Hazel Hoefler, Mt. View; one brother: Marvin Hopkins, Birch Tree; and a dear friend: Ina Jo Reading, Barnhart.  He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Bonnie C. (nee Voyles) Hopkins; two sisters: Alice Webb and Lorena Wolf; and one brother: Arnold Hopkins.  He had worked as a truck driver for Jefferson County Redi-Mix and was a member of Teamster’s Local 682.  Pastor Terry Crank will officiate the funeral service.
