Larry Dee Sallis was born in Dallas, TX on January 14, 1947 a son to Harrel and Mary Jo (nee Barnett) Sallis. He died at Crystal Oaks Care Center on August 8, 2026 at the age of 79. He is survived by his wife Jan (nee Preston) Sallis, Festus; his children: James Sallis, St. Louis, Laura (Mark) Phipps, De Soto, Kristin (Michael) Stillman, Festus and Jeff (Stacie) Gendron, St. Louis; grandchildren: Andy, Caroline (Pasko Cvrljak), Aaron (Carly), Gavin, Leila, Katelyin, Laine, Hattie and Eliza and his great grandchildren: Penelope, Kynzlie, Zoei, Corbin and one great grandchild on the way. He is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Nancy (nee Wilkins) Sallis. Larry had retired from the Union Pacific Car Shop in De Soto where he served as payroll administrator. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal City and B.P.O.E. #1721. Larry belonged to many Bass Fishing Federations and fished all over the world. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Festus High School Fishing Club.
