Thornton McKee

Thornton N. “Buck” McKee was born July 9, 1917, in Victoria, MO, a son to the late Jess and Emma (nee Ruppel) McKee. He passed away July 17, 2009, in Victoria, MO, at the age of 92 years and 8 days.
He married LaVetta Florence Thompson and to this union two children were born.
Buck is survived by a daughter, Joyce Pashia of Victoria and a son, Richard (Elle) McKee of Festus, MO; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and beloved wife, LaVetta McKee, he is preceded in death by five brothers: Roy, Dan, Vic, Robert and Walter McKee; a sister, Blanche Ross, and a son-in-law, Tom Pashia.
He was a member of the Victoria United Methodist Church; Masonic Lodge AF&AM #119, BPOE Lodge #689, and AmVets Post #48 all of De Soto. For over 60 years Buck served as the sexton of the Victoria Cemetery.
