I worked side by side with Terry for the last 4 years and every morning he had a story to tell about his home, his dog (Spanky) or a story from the past. The last couple of years several of his stories was about his two boys. I was in the middle of having my 1st child and Terry shared several stories about things his 2 boys did to each other when they were younger and a few tricks they pulled. one story sticks in my head is about him trying to figure out how one of the boys kept getting out of their baby bed. I believe it was Grant that he told me would rock back and forth in his crib as fast and as hard as he could until he had built up as much momentum to sling shot himself out and onto the floor, luckily my litle girl didn't do this, but I had thoughts of it after Terry finished his story about his son doing that. Terry touched several peoples life in different ways and will be missed.

Terry Powers was a good worker who had quite a sense of humor. He could easily fool you into thinking he was really serious about something and then laugh with you when you realize you'd been had. It did make working with him and seeing him a pleasure. He will be missed by the gang here and we all feel sorry he left so soon. Some of us knew him 20 years and we knew he knew his stuff. He advised us on different things and gave us new insight of many topics. We offer our condolences from his many work buddies and wanted you to know we respected and miss him.

Terry was an interesting individual. There were a lot of things we talked about besides work. One of them being my battle with cancer. He spoke to me with admiration of how I went through what I did, was able to keep working, and was winning. He wanted to be able to work and help get through one more major launch of a new vehicle. He talked about past launches were, how crazy and chaotic things would get, yet how much fun and exciting it was getting through all of the tooling challenges. He told me how things would start slow and all of a sudden everything had to happen at once. So far, it seems he pegged this one, even though he could not be with us. He wanted more than anything to beat his battle with diabetes. He spoke of hopes of being a normal healthy person. Being within a few years in age, we talked about many ups and downs life brings. Things we can control and things we cannot. One thing he spoke of with great fondness was of his 2 sons. I think he carried a photo of them in his wallet, but if I recall, they were very young. He spoke of how proud he was of them. He would glow with pride. They should know he loved them very much. My condolences go out to the family of Terry Powers, especially to his son's, Chris and Grant. He will be missed.

I was a Toolmaker at Chrysler and enjoyed having Terry for an Engineer.I had the Air Tool Crib for several yearsand would enjoy talking with him about what tools to get and just visiting in general. I have been retired since Dec.'97. Was shocked to hear of his death. It was way too soon. He will be missed. God Bless, Howard Burns

Terry was a pleasure to know and I enjoyed our discussions on philosophy, politics, cars and computers. He was a good friend that would do anything for you. I will miss him greatly and now realize how much pain he must have been in walking up and down the concrete floors at Chrysler. I will miss him greatly and want his kids to know that he was very generous and kind to me as the new guy starting with a new company. He made my life a lot easier by showing me the ropes at Chrysler. Terry I will miss you and appreciate your kindness to me. I hope to see you again in eternity.

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I met him last summer when I stayed with Chris and Lisa and we enjoyed our BQ day w/Terry. I hope you can find comfort in knowing he is at peace and out of pain and remember all the good times and happy memories of your dad.
