Sylvia “Sibby” L. Rowe was born on February 15, 1945 in St. Louis, MO.  She was the daughter of Lawrence and Margaret (nee Horn) Hill.  She died on March 31, 2024 at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in Creve Coeur at the age of 79.

She is survived by her husband, Lindell Phillip “Phil” Rowe, Jr.  Festus; her son, Jeff Rowe, De Soto; two sisters: Sharon Rapp, Pevely and Barbara Hill, Festus and two brothers Larry Hill, Festus and Randy Hill, Festus; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Sylvia had worked as a clerk at the Herculaneum Drug Store, the IGA Grocery Store in Herculaneum and Hamel and Rowe Hardware Store in De Soto. She was also a talented cake decorator and artist and had taught cake decorating courses at Jefferson College.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Jason Rowe and one sister Carol Huckie Keller.
