Robert Lee Lewis was born in Cadet on January 5, 1938 a son to Leo Joseph and Freda (nee Politte) Lewis.  He died in Mineral Point on March 7, 2024 at the age of 86.  He is survived by his children: Christopher (Terri) Lewis, Independence, Tim Lewis, Pacific, Roberta Ribble, Mineral Point, Lisa Ramey, Pacific and Jeff Lewis, Waco, TX; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters: Helen (Harry) Allen, Desloge and Vicky (Dale) Jarvis, Mineral Point; two brothers Frank (Linda) Lewis, Festus and Tom (Linda) Lewis, Cadet; a sister in law Sheila (Earl) Missey, Hillsboro; a brother in law Ralph (Mary) Nichols, Newton, MS and a special friend Margaret Courtway. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Dorothy (Coleman) Brown Lewis; two sisters: Mary Lou Nichols and Darlene (John) Seibel; two brothers Leonard Lewis and Ray (Jan) Lewis and two step children: Kevin Brown and Stacie Lee Massman. Bob served in the United States Army and Army Reserves. He was a mechanic and had retired from Jim Butler Chevrolet.  He was a member Machinists District #9 and the Knights of Columbus, AmVets, V.F.W. and the Elks.
