Julie , Denny our life long friend and best man for Pam & I at our wedding 51 years ago & family : Words cannot express sharing your loss & sorrow so will just say we are always thinking of our De Soto friends & family's we have shared our lives with for so many years. It is very nice to see & hear from all of them and some days it is sad. This is one of those days your family are one of those friends .

Rachel and I spent so much time together when we were younger so it's hard to pin point one memory as almost all were good! However, one of the most fun times was getting to go to Sam A Baker with her. After Uncle Den and Aunt Julie went to bed we stayed up and made Julie (at least I think it was for her) a surprise bday cake!

Rachel had the most caring and compassionate heart. She always made sure she had a carefully thought out gift for me for my birthday, Christmas, Mother's Day or just because it made her think of me. It wasn't expensive usually, but something special. She would apologize because "it wasn't much", but I have everyone of them still. They meant so much to me! She had no idea how special she was! I will miss her bouncing through my door! She always gave me a kiss and hug when she left. I still remember the last one...and she stopped and came back and kissed Daisy, my dog, on the nose! That was Rachel...she loved people and animals and all living beings! She will always be in my heart. I love you little sissy! I have another angel now...

I've known the family all my life. You have my heartfelt sympathy, I know the pain you must be feeling!! It's hard to express what you all have meant to me and I don't know what to say to comfort you. We are all in shock right along with you. Hold her memory close to your hearts and carry her with you everywhere. Precious baby was taken way too soon and will be missed terribly!! May God hold you close in your time of need and she will be waiting for you someday to come hold her hand again!! Bless you all!! Sending my love and prayers!!

She always had a smile, yes, even on her bad days ( we all have them) once she opens up to you , you find a beautiful sole, heart and she had so much compassion for life and for her dogs. We hit it off right front the start as she had dropped her change under the Soda Machine, I almost had to force her to take my .50 cents.. She was determined to get that money she had worked for. Fly high gorgeous! Rest easy and in peace. I hope that your family finds peace and comfort..

She had such a sweet and kind spirit Dennis...She also had such a precious smile that warmed a person's heart to.. I remember when her and I reconnected after quite a few years of not seeing one another here on facebook..She told me all about her life and what all she had gone through... I thoroughly enjoyed our chats we had had. God Bless You and Your Family with Peace!!

Rachel was my aunt. Granted we were only 5 years apart. She taught me so much. It is so painful that she's gone but I know she will always be with us. Everytime I see a butterfly or the sun shining I know she's there. Aunt Rachel I miss you.

Reading the comments on here about how my daughter Rachel's kind heart brought to mind something she did right after she got her driver's license. I let her use the car to go cruising with a friend. About an hour after she left she came home carrying a Wal Mart bag. She said, "Daddy There is a dead cat in here that was hit by a car. I couldn't just leave it lay there, so will you bury it for me?" And then left. So,there I was,out in the back yard 8:00 at night, burying a dead cat. Nothing will ever be the same without you. I love and miss you so much.

Rachel was one of the sweetest, most caring people I have ever met. She had the funniest facial expressions, and could always make me laugh, no matter what. So glad I had the chance to meet her while we were both at NABA! She was the greatest friend anyone could ever ask for, always willing to do anything to help someone else. I will miss her terribly...take care of my baby boy if you see him Rachel. I love you always! I will never forget all of our great memories. so sorry for her family & loved ones. You are all in my thoughts.

I went to beauty school with Rachel she was always happy and would do anything for you if you needed help. She would help me without a second thought, I will greatly miss her asking me for advice. Some of us "older" students slightly mothered the younger students. I'm glad I got to know her and be friends while she was here such a short time. To rach family I'm deeply sorry for your loss and you are all in my prayers. Fly high and sing with the angels beautiful girl. Love you...forever!

I forget which family gathering it was at Julie & Denny's house, but there were a lot of people & no signs of dogs, so I figured the dogs must be spending the day at someone else's house. I forget whether it was Rachel herself or someone else, but I asked about the dogs & it turned out that they were in the back bedroom. I was really impressed that the dogs were not barking. Rachel must have trained them to be quiet.
