Oscar “Bud” Wesley Akins was born on November 25, 1949 in De Soto, MO. He was the son of Oscar & Joann (nee Meadows) Akins. He died on January 28, 2021 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson at the age of 71.
On November 17, 1973 Bud married Elaine Robinson at Primrose Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Akins of De Soto; his children, Wesley Akins of De Soto and Kimberly Akins of De Soto; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Akins of De Soto; his siblings, Bryanna (Bob) Alexander of De Soto; Ron (Paula) Akins of De Soto; Mark (Ellen) Akins of De Soto; and Mary (Phil) Zerillo of De Soto; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bud was retired from Chrysler and a member of the UAW#126. He also served in the United States Army.
