I've never met anyone I like more than you Loyd. I loved to listen to you, Uncle Red and Timmy play music and sing. I bet you and Red broke the guitars out as soon as you got there. I always admired the love you held for your wife and son. Penny and Kris, my heart goes out to you. I pray that God comforts you through this difficult time.

My prayers and thoughts are with all of your family. I will miss you so much but you are in the best place where you can play music all day and watch over your family. You were such a great person and it was a blessing to have my younger years influenced by you. I will miss you till we meet again! All my love to You, Aunt Penny, and Kris!

Precious and few, precious and few. That's what Loyd is.... I have always held the memories of everyone "getting out the guitars" and listening to them play and sing, near and dear to my heart. For many reasons, but above all because of the love and friendship that was expressed and nurtured during those times. Loyd has always been a part of my life, since my earliest memories. Near or distant, I always knew that I was just as special to him, as he was to me. I feared that this day would come too, too soon for all of us. I am keeping the faith that he is in a much better place than are we. Praying for peace to be with the family. I cling to the times when I was innocent and the world was a different place. I was blessed to have Loyd as someone to look up to and be influenced by, and have always admired his musical talents. He was a remarkable person. When I think of Loyd I can picture his beautiful eyes and hear his giggle in my mind. I think of my Grandma Wilma, aunts & uncles, wonderful times spent with family and loved ones, feeling safe and protected, doted on and praised, lots of laughter and fun, celebrations of many kinds over the years, good music and good beer--(even though I was too young to drink it at the time, I'm sure the grown-ups were enjoying it. Wait, in fact I know they were! Lol) I remember Loyd trying to teach me to shuffle cards when I was about 4 or 5 years old and I was completely astonished at how he could do that!! These are just to name a few. I am sad that I didn't get to spend as much time in the latter days. I am certain, I am the one who missed out!! Penny & Kris, our hearts go out to you and we are here for you. Gonna be hard to say farewell, for now. But I will see you again Loyd, and can't wait for you to sing to me again. Love you Loyd..

Saying good bye to my brother Loyd wasn't easy. To say I loved him just doesnt cover the way i truly felt about this man. Loyd and I had a special relationship, being the big brother to five girls, He had his work cut out for him. He was our father, brother, friend protector, confidant and lets face it sometimes our worst nightmare. But he loved us all with he had. I am going to miss him and i think i'm crying more for myself, because Loyd is now with our two sisters, who in life literally worshiped him and now in death rejoicing to be with him again. Can't you see him with granny and the uncles, everyone wanting his attention cause we know how they just like everyone else in his life, loved him deeply. He wrote a song called Chasing Angels, about the sisters and one of the last thing Penny told him was it was okay to go and chase those angels. Goodbye my brother......i love you so much and am so grateful to of been apart of your life. sandi
