I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the entire family. Losing our older ones is so painful. Jesus himself knows how it feels because he wept when Lazarus died. I heard one preacher say he wept because he didn't want to bring him back here. But I think you will see from the account found at John 11:11-44 that Jesus wept because he knows the pain death causes family members and friends. So what did he do to show US today a lesson? He brought Lazarus back and notice the joy the family had. Martha had even told Jesus she knew Lazarus would rise "on the last day" (verse 24)..So is it is with our loved ones, "on the last day" we will be reunited with them again and all our tears will turn into tears of joy, just as it did with Lazarus' family. Until then, we must wait on the Great Time Keeper, Jehovah God , to give Jesus the signal to begin reuniting us together. While you wait I pray the peace of God will soothe your sad hearts and give you comfort and hope during these coming days.
