Maxine Brady was born Maxine Halcomb in Doniphan a daughter to Sam Jessie and Willabell Payton Halcomb. She married Howard Brady and they made there home in De Soto with their son H. Duane Brady. After the death of her husband and her son Maxine moved to live near her sister Pauline Brady in Pheonix. She died in Pheonix on January 6, 2013 at the age of 97. She is survived by her grandson Phillip and his wife Dee Brady also of Pheonix; one brother Bill Halcomb of Cape Girardeau; and a sister-in-law Katherine Halcomb, Lake St. Louis; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by her sister Pauline and her husband Robert Brady, her brother Sam Halcomb and a sister-in-law Elaine Halcomb. Steve Richardson, Pastor of First United Methodist Church- De Soto will officiate local services with burial to follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
